Waiting periods
Waiting periods indicate the time that must pass between enrolment
in health insurance and the possibility of requesting the use of
stated healthcare services.
The waiting periods for Sanitas Oro Reembolso are:
Reimbursement Option:
90 days for hospital admission.
240 days for hospital admission and non-ambulatory surgery.
36 months for for bariatric surgery in morbid obesity.
150 days for radiotherapy, chemotherapy, cobalt therapy, radioisotopes,
lineal accelerator, scanner, nuclear magnetic resonance, , bone
densitometry, physiotherapy, laser, lithotripsy, digital arteriography,
radio-neurosurgery.
90 days for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, laser, speech therapy,
anatomical pathology and special house-call services
240 days for psychiatric hospitalisation.
Network Option:
180 days for surgical operations and hospitalisations
180 days for anatomical pathology, digital arteriography, bone
densitometry, physiotherapy, lithotripsy, rehabilitation, nuclear
magnetic resonance, speech therapy, scanner , and special house-call
services.
300 days for lineal accelerator, cobalt therapy, radioisotopes, nuclear
medicine, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, , radio-neurosurgery, spinal cord
transplant.
36 months for for bariatric surgery in morbid obesity.
180 days for
psychological
treatment.
