specialising in mental health, such as anorexia, stress,
depression, marital counselling, insomnia, etc.

Sanitas Multi, Sanitas Mundi Sanitas Mundi, Sanitas Familia and Sanitas Autónomos now provide you with the best psychology specialists. Through individual therapy, they treat mental health disorders such as anorexia, stress, depression, relationship issues and insomnia.
Psychology cover includes individual short-term psychological care, prescribed exclusively by a psychiatrist or paediatrician in the medical network (or a psychiatrist not included in the medical network for reimbursement products) for treating disorders amenable to psychological intervention.
It also covers single psychological diagnosis and psychometric testing with the proviso that test forms shall be payable to the insured member. Cover excludes psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic therapy, hypnosis, narcolepsy and psychosocial and neuropsychiatric rehabilitation services.
Terms and conditions for using the service
The service must be authorised by the Insurer prior to provision, by telephone or at a Sanitas branch. Such authorisation shall require that service be provided by a Company-listed practitioner, up to a limit of 4 consultations a month and 15 consultations a year.
There is a six-month qualification period for new policies. If you provide the two most recent receipts to show you were registered with another national health insurance company when you arrange your new policy, your cover is automatically activated, as the six-month qualification period is cancelled.
